Opposite Sex-Band
Me and my husband had been to Sunday Soul Sante 2015 on Sunday held at ITPL grounds. Since the venue was close to my residence, I happened to go the previous day as well along with my friend who had suggested about this Sante. It was good indeed that I watched Opposite Sex ,a band from Bangalore.
Band features Ragini Ramanathan -Lead vocalist and Bass Guitar, Siddharth Gautam -Vocalist and Lead Guitar, Pradeep Ramanathan- Lead Guitar and Backing Vocalist ,Prabhu Muraleedharan-Drums
Ragini is quick in getting screen presence by desribing the song background and to whom this can be dedicted to. Here and there small humorous fights with Siddharth, just to get the attention of audience. But the duo is amazing, I should say. It was a long time I watched any band performing with this kind of youthfulness. Ragini sometimes shakes her leg, moves her head up and down ofcourse her perfect curly hairs covers up her face while playing the guitar. So her timing to manage vocal, guitar and other thumping, shaking etc were quite appreaciative. Siddharth moves around like a mercury along with the instrument upto the drummer.
Lyrics are more related to todays day to day life and also some special occassions which may be the reason this band could stay in my mind for such a long time. Overall a thums up for their performance
